World Scientific Series in Contemporary Chemical Physics - Vol. 20

TOWARDS A NONLINEAR QUANTUM PHYSICS

by J R Croca (University of Lisbon, Portugal)

The author of this book presents conceptual and experimental evidence showing that Heisenberg's uncertainty relations are not valid in all cases. Furthermore, he derives a more general set of uncertainty relations. The new relations result from the replacement of the Fourier nonlocal and nontemporal paradigm by wavelet local analysis. These results lead to a coherent and beautiful causal synthesis unifying quantum and classical physics.

Contents:

  • Complementarity Principle and the Nonlocal Fourier Analysis
  • New Generation of Microscopes
  • Beyond Heisenberg's Uncertainty Relations
  • The Meaning of the Wave Function
  • Interference Without Superposition of the Wave Packets

Readership: Physicists, mathematicians, engineers, science philosophers, science historians, and those interested in the foundations of quantum physics.
