This series aims at publishing original monographs in economic theory, descriptive or normative, its game-theoretical foundations, and mathematics designed to facilitate economic or game-theoretical analyses.

Contributions to economic theory can be grouped into three main types, and this series covers them all. The first one includes those that arise from the author's response to a certain phenomenon observed or experienced in the real economy. For example, observations of aspects of governmental decision-making processes might well lead one to formulate a model of political economy and to apply social choice theory to analyze it. The second type consists of contributions to an existing formal structure, either deepening, extending or augmenting the current theory. The third type consists of new formal structures that either capture aspects of problems hitherto unrecognized, or provide a new way of formalizing a recognized phenomenon or a class of models. Some contributions of the third type can rest upon ideas or observations not yet given formal expression. Works of this kind are within the compass of this series, even though they are not mathematical. Mathematical economics is built upon the foundation of mathematics and/or of game theory. Contributions to mathematics and game theory that are relevant to economic analyses are also within the scope of this series, even if they do not involve specific economic scenarios.

All volumes are published in English.

Call for Book Proposals:
